The Committee is responsible for the presentation of two prestigious awards:
Whitman Wright Award
This award was established in 1985 in honour of Dr. E. Whitman Wright, the founding Chairman of the CSCE Computer Applications Division. The award is granted to a civil engineer who has contributed to the development of computer applications in civil engineering. This award will be given annually during the CSCE annual conference.
The selection committee is composed of the following:

Whitman Wright Award Terms of Reference (PDF)
Excellence in Innovation in Civil Engineering Award (starting in 2009)
The award sponsored by CANAM will recognize outstanding innovations in any discipline of Civil Engineering. The defining criterion will be the innovative application of an idea in practice that has had a significant and far-ranging beneficial impact on the prosperity and well-being of society.
