Congratulations to the Ontario-based firm Cast ConneX Corporation, a University of Toronto spinoff company. Their development of high strength connectors designed to improve the shear resistance of buildings in seismically active zones has won them the 2009 Excellence in Innovation in Civil Engineering Award.
